Aqua Genie Face Plate Winter Kit
The NEW & IMPROVED Winter Faceplate Kit! This kit is made by the manufacturer of the Aqua Genie skimmer. No need to replace your existing faceplate with this kit. Simply put the kit on your faceplate and thread the screw threw the front. The stability Bar goes on the inside of your skimmer. If you have install questions you may direct them to the manufacturer at 1-888-317-4876. This lid allows no water to go into the Aqua Genie Skimmer. You will still need to drain your pool water down but only to below the skimmer, not 5" below the return like most pools.
The idea behind the creation of this devise is to save your pool and skimmer. If you have a Buster Crabbe pool your walls (in most cases) were made from wood. Since your pool is probably well aged you want to keep more pressure against the walls so they would be less likely to bow as the pool ages. The skimmer will be saved as well since no water can enter the skimmer and freeze.

When you order a Hot Spring cover from Pools Plus you are receiving a factory original replacement! All covers from the manufacture are UL (underwriters laboratory) listed and ASTM rated. Larger model covers use two (2) pound density foam and a heat-sealed waterproof plastic sheeting to keep moisture at bay. If you have a cover removal devise (cover lift, cover cradle, uprite, glide rite) made by Hot Spring, you will need this cover!
These devises are attached to the cover through the side into a plate built into the spa. No other manufactured spa cover can do that. Please keep this in mind when orderinig your replacement cover.
